Rotenburg an der Fulda (dpa/lhe) – Hesse’s former prime minister, Volker Bouffier, has been elected honorary chairman of the Hesse CDU. At the party conference on Saturday in Rotenburg an der Fulda, the delegates voted almost 98 percent for the 70-year-old. Bouffier had been state chairman of the CDU since 2010. On Saturday Prime Minister Boris Rhein was elected his successor by the delegates.
