The Japanese designer Hiroshi Ono, also known for the nickname Mr. Dotman and for designing the graphics and logo of the original Pac-Man video game, has died at 64 years of age.

“Hiroshi Ono has been struggling to recover from his illness, but he died on October 16,” he has reported the information twitter account about the developer in a communicated public this Monday.

Ono, known as Mr. Dotman Referring to its popular designs based on large pixels, became popular working for Namco since 1979, where it created the Graphics and the Pac-Man logo, as well as other video games such as Galaga and Dig Dug.
