The Pride 2023 parade returns to the streets of Madrid this Saturday, July 1, from 7:00 p.m.

It is expected that more than a million people will attend the Pride demonstration that will have 46 floats from different organizations and a batucada. This year’s theme is “Embracing Family Diversity: Equal Rights.”

The route of the Pride 2023 demonstration will begin at the Glorieta de Carlos V, in Atocha. Then it will continue along Paseo del Prado to Cibeles and continue along Paseo de Recoletos to end at Plaza de Colón.

This Saturday, in addition to the Pride demonstration, there will be performances and concerts in various venues in Madrid. These will be located in Plaza de España, Callao, Plaza de Pedro Zerolo and Plaza de Barceló.

As indicated by the Madrid City Council, due to the large influx of people that there will be, the following transport will be reinforced:

Madrid’s Underground:

The central lines of the Metro will be reinforced (lines 1 -from Sol to Pinar de Chamartín-, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10). This reinforcement will be done in the afternoon periods and until the closing of the service.

The Metro station services will also regulate the entrance of people to the stations.

Intercity buses:

The night lines will be reinforced based on the situation of previous years and the foreseeable demand.

Buses of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT):

The airport express lines (203) and 200 (to the airport) will be strengthened.

Additionally, the EMT will have a total of 10 buses to serve possible daytime lines in the event that it is necessary to reinforce one. The night network will have reinforcements between 10 and 15 buses according to demand.

Likewise, the night headers that depart from Cibeles to other locations will be changed. Specifically, buses N16, N18, N19, N20 and N21 will be transferred to Argüelles; to Atocha the N9, N10, N11, N12, N13, N14, N15, N17, N25 and N26; to the Puerta de Alcalá the buses N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, N8, N22, N24 and N27 and to Alonso Martínez the N23.
