When he turned 30 he raised a large family whom he cared for until he was over 50 years old. At the same time he held different management and administration positions in the Swiss canton of Flüeli-Ranft.
His life takes a turn and he decides to flee to a hermitage to practice meditation in a hermitage after receiving a mystical vision of a lily eaten by a horse.
This isolated area of ??the city became the corner of pilgrimage for believers and Saint Nicholas of Flüe would also be the patron saint of Switzerland.
