In the sky of Russia, a trail of smoke… then a crash. A private jet has just crashed. Not just any. On board, according to Russian-speaking Telegram channels, are several members of the Russian mercenary group Wagner. The crash killed ten people, whose names were soon shared by Russia’s Federal Aviation Agency.

We have cross-checked these names with those on internal Wagner Group documents, which were leaked in March and accessed by Le Monde. This information, as well as that collected by independent investigators, makes it possible to draw up the profile of the victims of the crash. They show that the plane was carrying some of the most powerful leaders of the paramilitary group.
