The second edition of the Youth Cultural Bonus 2023 can now be requested after its approval last Monday by the Council of Ministers with a budget of 210 million euros.

In this way, young people who turn 18 this year, that is, those born in 2005, have the right to receive this direct aid from the Ministry of Culture. Specifically, the Youth Cultural Bonus provides a balance of up to 400 euros to buy tickets for movies, concerts, video games, books or subscribe to streaming platforms.

As a great novelty, a Supreme Court ruling guarantees that part of the aid this year can also be allocated to bullfighting after its exclusion in 2022 by article 8.2 of Royal Decree 210/2022. In addition, the aid does not differentiate by family income criteria.

In the first edition of the Youth Cultural Bonus, more than 273,000 young people who reached the age of majority benefited from this aid in Spain. However, only 56% of potential beneficiaries used the Young Cultural Bonus.

More than 2,000 shops and entertainment companies adhere to the Youth Cultural Bonus system throughout Spain.

Its consumption is divided into three sections with certain spending limits to promote access to different activities and cultural sectors:

To access the benefits of the Youth Cultural Bonus, a prepaid card must be requested, in physical or virtual format for the mobile, with which the holder can make the permitted payments.

To request the Youth Cultural Bonus, two channels have been enabled:
