Florian David Fitz mostly keeps his private life away from the public. In an interview, however, the actor now tells of his experiences as the father of twins. A challenge in family life came as a surprise to the 47-year-old.
In an interview, actor Florian David Fitz gave a rare insight into his private life as a father of twins. In an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”, the 47-year-old spoke about the challenges of family life, but also about his curiosity about what is still to come.
“Children change the axis around which life revolves. And that’s exactly what should happen,” Fitz reflects in the interview. With children, for example, there is not much time left to pause or go on vacation. “I didn’t realize that before, but vacation just doesn’t exist,” says Fitz. “Reading a book, relaxing or just going out, that’s not easy anymore, you have to organize it differently with children.”
But the actor also seems to have made his peace with this new situation: “I made the decision of my own free will. I also had a relatively long life before that without children. And I’m still very happy and curious about everything I’ve encountered something new.”
As part of the premiere of his film “Enclosed Society”, Fitz had confirmed to RTL in April: “Yes, I am a father.” The actor rarely speaks about his personal life and keeps it private. When asked what kind of father he was, he also explained at the time that he was a “friend of freedom”.
From October 20, Fitz can be seen alongside Christoph Maria Herbst and Iris Berben in the social comedy “Der Nachname” by Sönke Wortmann. The film is the sequel to the successful feature film “The First Name”, an adaptation of the French play and feature film “Le Prénom”.
