Agents of the Forum Police attached to the Environmental Protection Brigade have recently researched a neighbor of a town of Land Estella, 72, as alleged author of a crime of petty pets, at abandoning a bag with an eight litter
Dogs in a garbage container.
The fact happened in December of last year and was discovered when a citizen was about to take a garbage bag to the container.
At one point, he heard a few moans between the waste and found a sack in which there were eight dog puppies.
Seven were dead and only one had survived, although he was cold and trembling.
The citizen took him home to give him a first attention, at the same time he gave notice to Police Forum and contacted an association dedicated to the care and protection of animals.
The puppy required veterinary assistance, since he was in a reserved state with respiratory distress, he has reported the Forum Police.
Up to the place, a patrol of the Estella police station was scrolled, which was interviewed with the alarm and found that the other seven animals had passed away.
Subsequently, the Environmental Research Group took over the investigations, picking up the bodies of the dead puppies and taking demonstration to several witnesses.
Studying the information obtained, the testing on the place and the data of the canine censuses of the environment, the researchers went to a livestock exploitation located in Land Estella, where the puppies could have been born.
There they were interviewed with the person responsible, who claimed to have several cans, including a female that had recently given birth, and which retained two live puppies.
The agents proved several irregularities in the anti-tree vaccination of the animals and took samples of DNA from the bitch to see if it coincided with that of the puppies, which turned out to be the same.
Initially, the person responsible for the exploitation recognized before the agents that the dog had had a litter of ten puppies, and that he had decided to stay with eight and end the life of the rest.
However, in the course of the investigation, he changed version to affirm that the eight puppies had accidentally died after being crushed by a straw paca.
The necropsy of the bodies of the animals did not support this second version, so it was finally charged a crime of petty animal abuse, collected in article 337 of the Criminal Code, the police reported.
The processed proceedings of the crowded were sent to a court of instruction of Estella, where the cause is followed.
