Jean-Michel Blanquer was the former Minister of National Education. He was invested by the presidential majority from the 4th constituency in Loiret. Blanquer is now out of office in the first round.
He finished third (18.89%) in this constituency favorable for the National Rally, behind Thomas Menage (31.45%), and Nupes Bruno Notin (19.43%).

This result is consistent with Marine Le Pen’s scores in the region during the presidential election. It is also higher than the national average. The RN candidate won 32.7% and 52% of the votes in Montargis, where “yellow vests”, were heavily mobilized.
