Brittney Griner, an American basketball player, stated that she would plead guilty to all charges and added that she did not intend to violate Russian law.
She explained that she was in a rush to pack and that the cartridges ended up in her bag.
The hearing was rescheduled for July 14th, when she will be heard by the court.
According to the prosecution, she was in possession of a cannabis-based liquid and vaporizers when she arrived at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport in February.
Brittney Griner traveled to Russia during the American offseason. This is a common practice among WNBA basketball players, who often earn a better living abroad than they do at home.
