Justin Houston, outside linebacker for the Ravens, was almost guaranteed to return when they placed an unrestricted free agency tender on him in May. There is no doubt.
The team announced today that Houston and Ravens had agreed to a one year contract.
It is unclear if it’s the same one-year contract worth $2,282,500 that Houston was entitled as part of an unrestricted, free agent tender. Or if he received something more. But he will be a Raven for this season.
Houston, 33 years old, signed a one year contract with the Ravens and played in 15 games. Houston is not the same player as he was in his early career with the Chiefs. He was a first team All-Pro in 2014 and was the NFL’s leader in sacks. However, he is still a valuable part of the Ravens’ defense and will be so in 2022.
