With its defense winning the Chargers’ game on Sunday, the Ravens have won five straight. Los Angeles was held to just 208 yards total and one touchdown by Baltimore. The Chargers were seventh in the league with an average of 411.4 yards per match, which was Sunday.
Justin Herbert, the Chargers’ quarterback, was never at ease in Baltimore. Jared Cook was the touchdown receiver. He completed 22 of 39 passes, gaining 195 yards. Herbert intercepted Baltimore’s DeShon Elliot.
The Ravens did not have to do much offensively. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was 19 of 27 for 167 yards. He also passed a 9-yard touchdown to Mark Andrews and made two interceptions. Jackson also ran for 51 yards on eight runs. Jackson’s total of 218 yards made him the third player to surpass 2,000 yards in six games.
Baltimore’s ground game saw six ball carriers totaling 187 yards. Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman both scored their first touchdowns in Ravens uniforms.
This is Baltimore’s 35th victory with Jackson as its starting quarterback. This is the longest win by a team that has had a starting quarterback less than 25 years in NFL history.
