The actress Natalie Portman (42) could be divorcing her husband Benjamin Millepied (46) after 11 years of marriage, according to US Magazine.
Several months ago, the news broke of an alleged infidelity between Millepied and Camille Étienne, a 25-year-old environmental activist. The couple would have tried to save their relationship. However, they have finally decided to part ways.
Portman and Millepied have two children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 6. They were one of the most stable couples in Hollywood. Portman described their relationship on more than one occasion as incredible, even calling meeting Benjamin “a dream.”
Speculation about their separation gained steam on their 11th anniversary on August 4, when Portman was seen without her wedding ring during an event in Sydney. In June, several media outlets covered some photographs in which the former principal dancer of the New York Ballet was seen with Camille Étienne. A source close to the couple said then: “They have not separated and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything possible to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and her family.”
However, the rumors of separation increased after they did not attend the premiere of Portman’s film “May December” at the Cannes Film Festival together, being an event they usually go to.
Portman and Millepied met in 2009 while working on Darren Aronofsky’s thriller Black Swan.
