According to an IfopFiducial estimate, Manuel Bompard, the rebellious candidate, was invested by Nupes in Bouches-duRhone’s 4th constituency. He received 52.9% of votes in the first round.
Jean-Luc Melenchon’s former campaign manager, he was the favourite on the ballot as chief negotiator for France Insoumise. Nupes invested him in the hope of reclaiming the seat that Jean-Luc Melenchon had left vacant. In fact, the leader of rebels decided not to run for re-election.
He was elected in the first place in the constituency. Jean-Luc Melenchon was the deputy in 2017. He qualified for the second, where he will be facing Najat Akodad (the candidate of Ensemble!), who came in the second position with 15, 1%.
