Both sides will play a complete series that includes three ODIs and as many T20Is. The Test will be played in Australia from 19 September to 11 Oct.

“(India) are an emerging Supergiant in cricket, they have a number of great players and they’ll be tough opposition,” Mott said cricket.com.au Friday after signing a two year extension that will allow him to remain with the side until the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

“They are playing over here in England right now and, if anything we’ll be vulnerable because we haven’t had much cricket. He said that this was something we keep in our minds.

After a series against England, the Indian team will travel to Australia.

In the inaugural season, five of India’s most prominent players, including Shafali verma, Smriti Madhana, and Harmanpreet Kur, will be featured in The Hundred.

The home series against India, on the other hand will be Australia’s first fixture since April’s tour of New Zealand.

Nine of the 10 CA players who were contracted to play in The Hundred have also pulled out. Mott, who was to coach Welsh Fire has also pulled out of the tournament.

“It would be wonderful to bring everyone together face-to-face, have a strong camp at Brisbane’s National Cricket Centre with great new facilities, and for some (players) from the southern states to train outdoors in good weather.

Mott said, “So fingers crossed that the borders open up. We’re free from COVID as much and we navigate around,”
