Rostock (dpa/mv) – In the spirit of dialogue and ecumenism, the 45th European Taizé Youth Meeting begins on Wednesday evening (7 p.m.) in Rostock – with an evening prayer. 4,000 young adults from 49 countries and 1,000 day visitors are expected to attend the meeting, which will last until Sunday. The participants arrive on Wednesday by bus or train during the day and then spread out to over 30 guest locations in Rostock and the surrounding area. The program includes evening and midday prayers, songs, seminars and numerous workshops. A central motto of the meeting is “Inner Life and Solidarity”. The Taizé Community is an ecumenical religious order in France.
