Kharkiv/Rostock (dpa/mv) – The Rostock chemistry professor Peter Langer has received an honorary doctorate from the Institute for Monocrystals of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The University of Rostock announced on Monday that the institute was located in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which had been badly hit by the war. The award was given to Langer for his many years of promoting cooperation between the University of Rostock and the Ukraine, for his overall academic achievements and for his commitment to refugee aid.
