Greifswald (dpa/mv) – A container accommodation with places for around 500 refugees is to be built in Greifswald. Various areas distributed across the city are currently being examined for this purpose, said Vorpommern-Greifswald District Administrator Michael Sack (CDU) on Wednesday at a press conference. The accommodation should be set up as soon as possible. He did not give a more precise timetable. The procurement of the containers should be a topic at the district council meeting next Monday. From the point of view of the district, the discussion about a possible community accommodation in Pasewalk is now obsolete.
