Gorlosen (dpa/mv) – A barn fire caused damage of around 50,000 euros in the municipality of Gorlosen early on Friday evening. According to initial findings, the fire broke out in the roof of the building, as the police announced on Saturday. The resident of the property in the Boek district had noticed the flames and alerted the fire brigade.
Several volunteer fire brigades from the region extinguished the burning barn and were therefore able to limit the damage to the roof. The building houses a workshop, a laundry room and a heating system. In addition, straw is said to have been stored in it. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment. The criminal police have confiscated and determined the location of the fire in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim.
