Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The chambers of industry and commerce in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have demanded faster planning and approval procedures from the state in order to accelerate the transformation of the economy. “The economy has repeatedly made numerous proposals, for example in the industrial policy concept “Industrial State Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania 2030”, said Siegbert Eisenach, General Manager of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Schwerin on Wednesday. Above all, he described the technical and staffing of the authorities as the bottleneck.
In the view of the IHKs, large parts of the infrastructure, buildings and industrial plants must be converted in order to manage the transformation to a climate-neutral digital economy. In view of the current difficulties in the supply chains, this conversion must be even faster.
