Rügen (dpa / mv) – A crane overturned on the island of Rügen while driving and caused a lot of damage. The vehicle was on the B196 in the direction of Baabe on Monday afternoon, got onto the right shoulder and dropped, as the police announced early Tuesday morning. The crane tipped over into the ditch and onto the tracks of the Rügen baths railway (Rasender Roland). The 54-year-old driver was not injured. According to the police, the damage was estimated at around 178,000 euros. She did not provide any information about the cause of the accident.
