Lübz (dpa/mv) – At the “Psychedelic Experience Open Air Festival” on the Pentecost weekend in Ruthen near Lübz, it has been proven that not all visitors trusted the effect of music and mysticism alone in an “expansion of consciousness”: As the police announced on Tuesday, On the fringes of the four-day festival in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim, 27 violations of the Narcotics Act were registered. Drug tests were positive for 15 drivers. In some cases, small quantities of narcotics were found and confiscated.
Three people were charged with suspected dealing in illegal narcotics. In the course of a traffic check, various narcotics and around 7,000 euros in cash were found on them, it said. The suspects, aged 23 to 25, wore the drugs on their bodies and sometimes hid them in their underwear. According to the police, around 40 officers were on duty at the departure checks on Sunday.
According to the organizers, the so-called Goa party in Ruthen with around 60 artists was the kick-off for the 2022 festival season. Around 4,000 fans had traveled, as the police announced, citing the organizers.
