Vorpommern-Greifswald (dpa/mv) – A four-year-old boy stumbled onto a street in Loissin (Vorpommern-Greifswald district) while playing and was hit by a passing car and seriously injured. The driver did not see the boy in time on Friday evening and only braked immediately after a “sudden bang”, the police said. The boy suffered a lacerated head and a bloody nose in the collision. The injuries were not life-threatening, police said. An ambulance treated the four-year-old at the scene of the accident. A rescue helicopter then took him to the Greifswald Clinic for further observation.
