Vipperow (dpa / mv) – A fire in a holiday apartment burned down an entire house in Vipperow (Mecklenburg Lake District). As a police spokesman said on Sunday, the fire broke out in the afternoon in the kitchen of the 24-year-old resident of the apartment. The flames quickly spread to a second holiday apartment and the landlord’s living quarters. When firefighters arrived, the entire house was on fire. The total damage is estimated at around 500,000 euros. The landlords could only flee and had to be given pastoral care. The cause of the fire is suspected to be hot fat in a pan that the guest is said to have previously heated and left the kitchen. Nobody got hurt.
