Schwerin (dpa / mv) – The nationwide high level of sick leave also has an impact on the train connections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. As reported by Deutsche Bahn (DB), there are likely to be failures on four regional routes by January 8, 2023.
“As with many companies in Germany, the sick leave among employees of Deutsche Bahn in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is currently high. This can lead to individual journeys being canceled in regional transport,” said a railway spokesman on Thursday when asked: “We at the DB are doing everything possible to minimize the impact.”
The lines RE 5 from Stralsund to Neustrelitz (with the exception of passing trains to and from Berlin), RE 7 from Stralsund to Greifswald, RB 17 from Wismar via Schwerin to Ludwigslust (only individual trains) and RB 18 from Bad Kleinen are affected by the cancellations to Schwerin.
The travel information on the Internet and via the app is currently being updated. According to Bahn, the changed timetable will be available from December 16th. In any case, travelers should find out about their actual departure and arrival times immediately before departure.
