Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Due to a possible cyber attack, the IT systems of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Schwerin have been shut down. “We are currently working intensively on a solution and defense. After testing, the IT systems are constantly being booted up so that the services for companies are then available again,” explained Siegbert Eisenach, General Manager of the Schwerin Chamber of Industry and Commerce, on Thursday. Currently, the IHK can only be reached by phone.

According to the IHK Gesellschaft für Informationsverarbeitung (GfI) in Dortmund, which is responsible for IT, all 70 locations in Germany are affected by the precautionary measure. Whether and when the services of the organization in Schwerin will be available again should be announced via the Facebook account.
