Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The left-wing faction in Schwerin has asked the federal government to suspend the debt brake in order to overcome the energy crisis. “The stubborn adherence to the debt brake is economic nonsense and contains social explosives,” said the parliamentary group leader Jeannine Rösler on Thursday in Schwerin.
She was pleased that the country leaders agreed on a common position on an energy price cap and skimming off so-called excess profits the day before. “Now it is important that the federal government gets down to business quickly, helps people and companies effectively and does not leave the states out in the rain,” said Rösler.
