Wittenburg (dpa/mv) – A rear-end collision in western Mecklenburg led to the Berlin-Hamburg Autobahn 24 being blocked in the direction of Berlin early on Thursday morning. As a police spokesman said, a minibus and a car collided near Wittenburg (Ludwigslust-Parchim) and stopped. The 37-year-old driver of the car was taken to a hospital for his injuries. The three occupants of the minibus were not injured. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear. The car had to be recovered. The damage was estimated at a five-digit sum.
