The state government also expressly supports the precautionary tips in a citizen’s letter from the district administrators, he said on Sunday. There is a lot to be said for the fact that you will get through the winter well. Nevertheless, the state, districts and municipalities are preparing for the fact that there could be an energy shortage.

In a three-page citizens’ letter on Friday, the district council informed about government measures in the event of long-term problems with the energy supply and also gave tips for personal provision. In view of the approaching winter, many citizens were worried about an impending energy shortage and longer power outages. “If something like this occurs, state and local authorities will provide support within their means,” the letter said.
The example given was the establishment of “heat islands” where people could warm up and, if necessary, prepare hot meals. Nevertheless, the population was called upon to make ends meet even when the supermarkets were closed.
“Please check carefully whether you are prepared for a longer outage of electricity, heat or drinking water. Every household should have supplies for ten days, especially non-perishable food and liquids. A small supply is better than no supply! Build Stock up your supplies for a long time without buying hamsters,” the district council warned.
