Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Due to numerous inquiries about first-time or repeated corona infections, the state capital is the first large city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to put its corona hotline, which was discontinued in April, back into operation. The hotline is occupied by two employees Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a city hall spokeswoman said on Tuesday. Outside of these times, general questions about the infection would be answered by a recorded message on the telephone number. In Rostock there is no need to reactivate the hotline, said a city spokesman there.
The confirmed cases of infection with the corona virus reported by the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) in Rostock for MV have recently fallen. The seven-day incidence of new infections was 472 at the start of the week, compared to 573.3 a week earlier. However, the infection process is not shown in its entirety. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics, and fewer tests will be carried out for everyone after the end of the free citizen tests. The seven-day incidence of Covid-19 hospitalizations was 5.3 in the Northeast on Monday, up from 5.8 a week ago.
