Polkvitz (dpa / mv) – A 32-year-old motorcyclist died in a failed overtaking maneuver on the island of Rügen on Thursday. As the police reported, the man had touched a car in the village of Polkvitz when overtaking. He lost control of his motorcycle and then crashed into an oncoming car. The motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident, and the two occupants of the car that the motorcyclist crashed into were injured and taken to hospital. The road had to be completely closed for several hours.
