Stralsund (dpa / mv) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on the outskirts of Stralsund on Friday afternoon. According to the police, the 57-year-old collided with a car. A truck obstructed the driver’s view when turning left from the B105 to the B194. The driver was only moving slowly, but noticed the approaching motorcycle too late, so that a collision occurred.
The 39-year-old from Rostock was unharmed and provided first aid to the accident victim until the rescue workers arrived. The motorcyclist from Stralsund was taken to the University Hospital in Greifswald. According to the police, the car and motorcycle were no longer drivable after the accident. The property damage was estimated at 30,000 euros. The busy intersection was closed for about 90 minutes and traffic was diverted.
