Greifswald (dpa / mv) – A 23-year-old was overwhelmed by his victim and other witnesses after a wallet was stolen in Greifswald and handed over to the police. The man snatched his purse from a 65-year-old in the morning as he was leaving a bar, police said. The victim and two other witnesses, who had just come out of the bar, followed the man. After overpowering him, they handed him over to police officers who arrived. He had a breath alcohol level of 1.05 per mille and was taken into custody in the main police station. Further investigations are also pending because the victim himself was under the influence of alcohol.
