The autumn break is over. Lessons, tests and homework are now back on the agenda for the schoolchildren in the north-west. But there will soon be a small ray of hope to take a breather.

Schwerin (dpa / mv) – After a week of autumn holidays with nice weather, school started again in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Monday morning. This is almost the final spurt – the next longer break for the approximately 160,000 girls and boys will not be until the Christmas holidays. But there will be a little break again on November 1st and 2nd.

Despite the increased number of infections, the start of classes was not associated with new corona rules. According to the Ministry of Education, the current corona protection measures continue to apply unchanged at the around 500 schools in the country. Accordingly, there is still no mask requirement, corona tests are only mandatory in the event of symptoms of illness.
