Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The volleyball players at SSC Palmberg Schwerin suffered their first home defeat of the Bundesliga season. The team of head coach Felix Koslowski lost 1:3 (16:25, 18:25, 25:14, 23:25) to Dresdner SC on Saturday evening and thus left the field as losers for the second time in the main round.
In the first set, the hosts quickly fell 3-0 down. Although the SSC managed to equalize shortly afterwards, Dresden proved to be the better team. In the meantime, the guests pulled away to five points and could not be denied the passage. The preliminary decision in the second section was made when the DSC advanced from 10:9 to 13:9.
In the middle of the third round, however, a completely different game should develop. Suddenly, the SSC dominated the rallies and came to sovereign connection. The ultimately decisive fourth set remained balanced for a long time. In the hard-fought final phase, however, the DSC earned two match points and made everything clear with the second.
