Rostock (dpa/mv) – Newly promoted Rostock Seawolves started the test game series with a win during preparation for the premiere season in the basketball Bundesliga. On Saturday, coach Christian Held’s team won against the Danish first division club Team Fog Naestved with 86:74 (44:32). Jordan Roland (16), Tyler Nelson (15) and Derrick Alston Jr. (15) scored in double digits for the Wolves.

“We saw a lot of things we need to work on and we also saw a development – from the first to the second half,” said Held. But the coach emphasized: “It was the first time that we went five-a-side after a week of pre-season.” Players were also used in positions where they are unlikely to play during the season.
