Waren (dpa/mv) – A 68-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a skateboarder in Waren an der Müritz. According to the police, the collision occurred on Thursday on a sidewalk not far from several residential buildings with senior citizens at a fairground. The cyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 19-year-old skateboarder suffered minor injuries. The reason for the collision was initially unclear. In this context, the police warned that roller skaters, skateboarders and cyclists should definitely wear appropriate protective clothing such as helmets.
