Schwerin/Laage (dpa/mv) – The state government in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania hopes to be able to exploit its location advantage in terms of renewable energies through the hydrogen economy. “In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, we pay particular attention to not only building production capacities for renewable energies and green hydrogen, but also to building complete value chains including consumption here in the state,” said Economics Minister Reinhard Meyer (SPD) on Monday at the meeting of the “Hydrogen Energy Cluster Mecklenburg-West Pomerania” in Laage near Rostock. With around 280,000 euros, the state supports the association, which is mainly supported by the Rostock Apex Group.
