Bergen (dpa / mv) – A cyclist was seriously injured in an accident in Bergen on the island of Rügen. As a police spokeswoman said on Tuesday, the 38-year-old was hit by a car at an intersection on Monday and dragged along with her bike and bike trailer for a while. According to the police, the 67-year-old driver wanted to turn right. The cyclist came from his left and wanted to cross the street, so both parties involved probably had “green” at the traffic light, as it was said.

According to the investigations so far, the driver would have had to wait. The cyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but is said not to be life-threatening. The driver was also injured and taken to a hospital. A number of witnesses were on the road at the time of the accident.
