Stralsund (dpa / mv) – Stralsund got its first bicycle street. The city said it was released on Friday. The route runs about 1.8 kilometers along Bahnhofstrasse and Bahnweg, which are consistently designated as bicycle lanes.
Cyclists have priority on cycle lanes and are allowed to ride side by side. The maximum speed for everyone is Tempo 30. 1.5 million euros have been invested, with more than one million euros coming from the federal government. According to the information, the road surface and the lighting were renewed in several sections. There were also benches and bicycle parking spaces. The city is planning a total of six corresponding routes.
