Hagenow (dpa / mv) – The police in West Mecklenburg cleared up a robbery on a supplier for bakeries in Hagenow (Ludwigslust-Parchim) after five months. As a police spokesman said on Thursday, two suspects were arrested against whom a district court has since issued arrest warrants. According to the police, the two 39 and 40-year-old men had hit and seriously injured the driver of the van with tools on the night of April 1 and fled with the victim’s backpack. They would have assumed that the backpack contained the daily income from several branches, which was not the case, as the spokesman said. The driver came to a clinic.

Through traces found and other clues, the investigators came across the duo from the region. She is being investigated for aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm. The accused have not yet commented on the allegations. Both are known to the police for other crimes, which is why connections to other crimes are also being examined.
