Stralsund (dpa / mv) – In Western Pomerania shortly before Stralsund, a wolf was probably killed in a collision with a vehicle. A police spokesman said on Thursday that smaller vehicle parts were found at the accident site, which could probably have come from the animal’s collision with a car or truck. So far, however, it is still unclear what kind of vehicle had collided with the wolf and also when.
The carcass lay on the two-lane roadway of federal highway 96 northbound not far from the Rügenblick parking lot. A vehicle driver reported the find shortly after midnight. The dead animal was handed over to the responsible environmental agency.
