Schwerin (dpa/mv) – The volleyball players of SSC Palmberg Schwerin only partially succeeded in the dress rehearsal for the cup final next Sunday against SC Potsdam. Coach Felix Koslowski’s team won 3:2 (20:25, 25:23, 25:14, 22:25, 15:13) at VC Wiesbaden on Saturday, but lost a point despite the win.
In the first set, Schwerin had to accept three points in a row after the 11:11 in the meantime. The Mecklenburg women were then unable to catch up and had to give up the first round. In the second section, the SSC dominated at first, but then had problems again and was suddenly 11:15 behind. However, the team managed to comeback and equalize the set.
In the third set, the Mecklenburg women turned an 8:10 into a 14:10. Although Wiesbaden fought back to a point, the SSC paved the way for a 2:1 lead with a 9:0 run. In the fourth section, Schwerin again gave up a lead of seven points and conceded the equalizer a little later. In the tie-break, the guests then kept their nerves and made the victory perfect with the first match point.
