Huge discovery or huge scam? Two fossils presented as extraterrestrial mummies were exhibited on Tuesday, September 12, within the confines of the Mexican Parliament. The organizer of this demonstration, MP Sergio Gutierrez, defends an exhibition in the name of “public interest”.
“They are non-human beings, who are not part of our earthly evolution,” he adds. The mummies were presented by a self-proclaimed ufology specialist, Jaime Maussan. The latter is controversial today, as is the origin of the fossils presented.
These mummies “are a creation denounced already years ago,” said the French edition of the Huffington Post recalling the controversies surrounding the controversial documentary Unearthing Nazca in 2017. One of the mummies “was assessed by an anthropologist. Its conclusions are clear: the mummy in question is an assemblage of different mummified human remains,” adds the media.
“Receiving Jaime Maussan in the Chamber of Deputies shows this country’s contempt for science,” said a Mexican Internet user. Others derided the hearing by calling for the self-proclaimed expert to become the “president of intergalactic relations.”
On July 26, a former intelligence officer, David Grusch, told a US Congressional committee that the authorities were hiding evidence of the existence of extraterrestrials. He said he was “absolutely” convinced that the United States was in possession of a UFO, now designated as an “unidentified anomalous phenomenon” (“UAP”) by the American authorities, and even the remains of its operators.
NASA recently called for more efforts to scientifically study these UAPs, as did the Pentagon, which is concerned about possible… Chinese espionage activities.
