Someone left behind a cat in a carrier on the MetroNorth train platform in Cortland, Westchester County, State Police said.
She was found just before 8 a.m. Thursday on the train platform in a tan Woolrich carrying case.
Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks have the cat, described as an older female with black, tan and brown fur.
Anyone with information should call (914) 769-2600 and request to speak with a trooper at the Cortlandt barracks.
