The Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt has donated half a Million euros to five charities from the main metropolis. The money comes from the Ticket that were not demanded back by the Fans, despite the mind games in the Corona-crisis.
“It is a great sign for Frankfurt, that everyone who could, has given us the confidence and granted him the money over to us voluntarily gave,” said Eintracht sporting Director Fredi Bobic to the fundraiser. “We are very proud that we have such a fan base.”
The ark received 150,000 euros, the German Red cross € 70,000, the Diakonie Hessen EUR 80,000, the University hospital of 80,000 euros and the Frankfurt panel of 120,000 euros. “The solidarity across all areas – whether it’s a day card holders, business clients or sponsors – is simply remarkable,” said chief financial officer Oliver Frank Bach.
