Since the Government President, Pedro Sánchez, announced last Tuesday the creation of a bonus-housing to help young people in rent, has become one of the questions that more interest raises, even within their own ranks.
And the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, far from clarifying it has become entangled this Thursday while trying to explain it.
At the press conference after the Council of Ministers, Montero has ensured that the aid would apply to lease contracts with a maximum limit of about 600 euros.
However, sources from the Department of Him and the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda have clarified that the limit to which it was referring is that of the rental aid containing the State Plan of Housing 2022-2025, expandable to
900 euros.
The same sources refer to the words of Pedro Sánchez last Tuesday on the features of the bonus and ensure that the measure is still pending of a regulatory development subsequent to specify it.
According to the advanced by the President, the bonus contemplates an aid of 250 euros monthly to young people between 18 and 35 young people whose annual income level is less than 23,725 euros.
It would be valid in the next two years and for vulnerable families, that bonus will be completed with more direct aid to rent up to 40% of the value.
To apply it, the Executive has consigned an amount of 200 million euros in the Bill of the General Budgets of the State for 2022.
They are the only data that is known until the moment of a measure that has aroused enormous interest among the youngest.
The President announced it last Tuesday just a few hours after closing the agreement for the future housing law with his government partner, united we can, and the fact that neither the purple formation had knowledge of the bond gives an idea of the surprise nature
and improvised of his start-up.
Montero recalled that, once the Regulation is developed, “you will see how it is requested and how it is coordinated with the Autonomous Communities.”
