Officials said the shooting happened within the shop, close to its produce section, only after 11:30 a.m. Officials failed to detail the association between the 3 individuals, but Barbera said they’ve known each other.
County Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, that represents the region, said in a statement that she had been told that the child was a toddler.
Multiple patrol cars came in The Crossroads shopping centre shortly before noon. A sheriff’s officehelicopter hovered in the air over the shop, along with a Palm Beach County Fire Rescue automobile was in the scene.
“Detectives are at the beginning stages of discovering what led up into the shooting,” Barbera said. “More info will be published as it becomes available.”
Even though a few Publix workers were permitted to leave the shop, it seemed most employees and a few clients were kept indoors to be interviewed by deputies.
Law enforcement officials were assessing license tags on automobiles in the parking lot. Individuals weren’t being permitted to maneuver their vehicles.
“That really is really a friendly Publix. I can not believe this crazy thing occurred,” explained Tracy Greene, who regularly shops at the shop.
“This isn’t a Publix issue. That really is really a public problem,” explained Oahtee Moody, a Royal Palm Beach resident that resides across the road from the shop. “I had been born and raised , and that I would anticipate this to take place.”
