Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) – In North Rhine-Westphalia, 165 threats and threats to judges, public prosecutors and other judicial employees have been registered in recent years. The NRW Ministry of Justice said on Wednesday in response to a request from the AfD parliamentary group.
A high point of the incidents was the year 2019 with 59 reported facts. Since then, the incidents have been declining. The years since 2018 have been recorded. In addition to public prosecutors and judges, the circle of those affected also included magistrates, public prosecutors, constables and other court employees.
A wide range of instruments are available to counter threats and attempts at intimidation. This ranges from anonymous duty rooms to police protection.
