Dortmund (dpa / lnw) – Unknown persons are said to have thrown an object weighing dozens of kilos from a bridge over the A45 near Dortmund and hit a car. The 31-year-old driver, who was traveling in the direction of Frankfurt, suddenly noticed an impact on the passenger side, the public prosecutor and the Dortmund police announced on Tuesday. The man was unharmed, the hit window splintered. He immediately ended his journey. After the incident on Monday evening, the police found the foot of a traffic sign, which weighed almost 30 kilos and which had probably been thrown, nearby. The police evaluate the act as attempted homicide, and a homicide commission is investigating. Witnesses are now being sought.
